Snowball Frequently Asked Questions




General questions

Is account registration required?

Account registration at Snowball is required in order to use the app. This ensures a valid communication channel for all parties involved in.

Absolutely no, everything in Snowball is confidential.
Account

The steps involved in this process are really simple. All you need to do is:
  • Click on "Create an account"
  • Fill the fields with your information
  • Accept our terms and conditions
  • Click on "Sign Up".

You can always request a password retrieval by doing the next steps:
  • In the login screen, click on "Forgot password?" option
  • Enter your registered email
  • Go to the email inbox and follow the instructions
Snowball

After you are logged in follow the next steps:
  • In the Home screen you will see a "PLUS SIGN", click on it
  • Enter the information related to your post
  • Accept our terms and conditions
  • Click on "Save"

After you are logged in and you have created at least one Snowball follow the next steps:
  • Look for the desired Snowball, by the "Latest snowballs" Section from your profile and select it
  • Click on the pencil icon that you will find to the right of your avatar
  • Edit the information you want to update
  • Click on "Update"

After you are logged in and you have created at least one Snowball follow the next steps:
  • Look for the desired Snowball, by the "Latest snowballs" Section from your profile and select it
  • Click on the pencil icon that you will find to the right of your avatar
  • Scroll down.
  • Click on "Delete Snowball"

After you are logged in, you can set favorite locations to track what's happening near you, just follow the next steps:
  • Go to your profile
  • Click on "Change custom location" option
  • Click on the + sign
  • Search your desired favorite location (you can add up to 3)

  • Go to your profile
  • Click on "Change custom location" option
  • Click on the trash can icon
Search

Do you have a specific interest? Snowball allows you to find posts by tags or keywords! follow the next steps:
  • Click on the search icon in the navigation bar
  • Click on the "Search for" text box
  • Type your tags or keywords
  • Send
Notifications

Snowball allows you to track the interaction between you and other users by clicking on the notifications button on the navigation bar.
Profile

After you are logged in, you can edit your profile, just follow the next steps:
  • Go to your profile
  • Click on "Edit" option
  • Update the info you want to change
  • Click on "Update"
Recommendations

After you are logged in and you have received recommendations, you can approve or ignore them, just follow the next steps:
  • Go to your profile
  • Click on the "Recommendations" option
  • If it's a new recommendation you will find it in the pending tab, otherwise you will find the recommendation under the Activated tab
  • Check the recommendations you want to approve/ignore
  • Click on Accept/Ignore

After you are logged in and you have received recommendations, you can approve or ignore them, just follow the next steps:
  • Go to your profile
  • Click on the "Recommendations" option
  • Go to the Activated tab
  • Select the recommendations you want to hide
  • Uncheck the recommendation

Features

After you are logged in, you can view the other user's profile, also, you can send private messages:
  • Go to the Snowball of your interest
  • Click on the "°°°" icon
  • Click on "View Profile"
  • Click on "Send Message"

When you roll a Snowball post you are making it bigger and it will get more attention from other people.

  • Pending recommendations are the ones that need an action from you, either by accepting them or ignoring them.
  • Activated recommendations are the ones that you have accepted, even if you hide them after

It is because you may have hidden recommendations, they still count!

Map services need permissions, you must go to the app info and grant access.
